This is a usability suggestion.

Any time the system wants you to enter a path either for a menu or to specify which page should be the front-page or if your entering in an url alias, you should be presented a list of all valid paths in the system.

If possible this list should include all paths specified by the core, all aliases created by the users, and all paths that are introduced by modules.

This is so the user doesn't have to either guess at which paths they have to choose from, or have to go back to the documentation to find the path they want, all options are right their in front of their eyes.

There is the https://www.drupal.org/project/linkit which may cover this. Also in D10 there is a WIP for adding searching in the ckeditor. Believe that covers the scenario listed here.
