I've been panning to use this module extensively on a major project, but I get mixed feelings. Many developers and reviewers point to Vote Up/Down as the answer to most questions, but the documentation is not very promising.

The documentation points to README.txt from 2007, talking about Drupal 4.7 and 5.x.

The releases are a beta and a dev, and the CHANGELOG.txt indicates that they are both initial releases.

Can anyone shed some light on the latest news?

According to the project page the 2.x-dev version is GSoC code from 2009. The readme.txt may still apply and may need minor or may not apply and require major adjustments.

patches may need to be created for readme.txt files if there are things that need to be fleshed out or have changed.Commenting to add to my tracker to take a look over the next week. I may be able to walk through the readme.txt and adjust as needed over the coming week.

Suggestions are welcome.
