It would be a very nice addition to the htmlarea.module when you could define the options per role... So, for anonymous users I can set only 'bold', 'italic', 'underlined', 'superscript' and 'subscript'..
'Authorised users' can also place hyperlinks and images and 'administrators' can use everything...

Is it worth discussing?

I have 2 problems with this.

  1. The configuration of the UI would be a nightmare, as at the moment customizing the toolbars is very complex, and would not allow for creation of a set of paramters per role.
  2. users could either go to the source and add links, etc or just turn off javascript and they would have raw access to the window to enter what they want.
