Hi
I installed 4.6.5 using Fantastico (I realise there's a later version but was going to wait for an upgrade to be available via Fantastico), and then added 'notify', 'image assist' and 'image' modules, because I wanted my users to be able to add pics to their stories; all seemed fine yesterday, and I actually managed to upload a picture and add it to a post.
But today, I can see my front page stories from a browser where I'm logged in (minus the photo), but clicking on, I think, any links, results in an error message similar to the following:
'Not Found
The requested URL /mysite/node/add was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. "
On another browser where I'm not logged in, I get the login page, but upon loggin in I get a message the same as the above but relating to URL /mysite/user/login
And I can't get to the 'administer' functions either!
Any ideas on what's going on please? Does this imply I've done something bad to my database when installing these modules, or something else is awry?
Many thanks for any suggestions - and I thought I was doing so well, too!!
Cheers

/MYSITE/node/add
I'd say that the /mysite/ bit is the problem. Check that you don't have the wrong base url (go to your files --> files/default/settings.php) and modify the ($base_url). Try this and see if the problem is solved.
Where exactly?
Do you mean in the directory 'sites' > default > settings.php?
The base url looks to be correct.
Many thanks.
.htaccess file
My hosting co provided some support: it was an error in the .htaccess file, for the record. Don't know why, what or how, though.
BTW can you 'subscribe to threads' somehow to get emails when there are replies here?
Cheers
