Large Websites & boost_tree_directory() function don't play along

Description

I need to ship with 'BOOST_IGNORE_SUBDIR_LIMIT' set to TRUE. Doing a directory scan can take a very very long time, kinda annoying this doesn't work well.

quick work around; go to
admin/settings/performance/boost
Bottom of Boost advanced settings
Disable warning about reaching the ext3 file system subdir limit. - Check this box and press save at the bottom.
