Subscribing. Same here, it no longer works on at least 3 sites that were previously functional. Using the 'default' code, fyi. Thanks!

I had the same issue, but then put in custom code from the sharethis site. Now it works. Try that. Actually it looks like it's only working if you specify popup window. So there's definitely a bug here.

Nothing is working...

#6

mtabanpour - November 4, 2009 - 09:16

Same here.

chrishrtmn - November 4, 2009 - 16:22

Not working for me either. Using the latest module and Drupal core.

The following nodes/comments also seem to be related:

I am also experiencing the same issue, started around the same time as everyone else.

I have noticed that on the ShareThis.com website, if you try to generate the publisher's code with the rotating icon, it doesn't generate anything. Only with the static default icon. Not sure why.

WildBill - November 5, 2009 - 01:55

ShareThisSupport even suggests it's a problem with the Drupal module itself: http://forums.sharethis.com/topic.php?id=1669

captcha - November 5, 2009 - 08:28

Same issue, nothing shown on mouse hover. Popup option did work as mentioned above.
Could it be the sharethis jquery plugin?...
Tried the dev version with servicelinks required, that didn't work either.
Resorted to using direct code in the template file, should be faster than using Sharethis and Share/Servicelinks modules if you don't need all that, saving three modules' load time.

Thet - November 9, 2009 - 11:19

going back to 1.3-3 will work...

#16

WildBill - November 10, 2009 - 01:05

Just copy the straight code from ShareThis.com, and paste it into a block.

#17

leciphitet - November 10, 2009 - 01:45

indeed, downgrading to 1.3-3 did the job, thanks for the tip

I was having a problem where ShareThis was causing a JavaScript error on our site, looks like it was attempting to add its links when the node wasn't actually being printed out. I think this may have been caused by a change in Service Links, though I'm not sure.

Anyway here's the patch that corrected the situation for us. It just checks that the HTML element exists before trying to add ShareThis.

That worked nice, I was able to install the 2.x-dev version with no ie6/7 errors, thak you very much for the patch.

#30

Rhino - November 22, 2009 - 12:17

patch works here too. Thanks.

#31

Justin W Freeman - November 23, 2009 - 05:29

Note:

This issue is for 6.x-1.6 and the patch in #28 is for 6.x-2.x-dev

The patch in #28 is for a different issue to this one.

Marking this as active as the patch in #28 is not a fix for this issue, an issue should be created for the issue that patch fixes.

I've just done a fresh install of Sharethis ~ I've got the 'sharethis' link text on the page, (but without sharethis logo). When I click the link text it seems to just refresh the page.

Ah, I'll try the #28 patch!...

er, what do I do with the patch?...copy it into CSS??

#34

Steve Atkins - November 28, 2009 - 21:15

I decided to use the 'Add to Any' module instead - and it works, hallelujah!

'add to any' works like a charm....i've loved sharethis in the past for other wordpress sites....but whatever works just as good is best ---no account creation either....easier

TIP : meanwhile, if you choose the option Pop-Up when creating a button ( or add &popup=true ), it will work.

Please repair the module and change the version number.

Thanks.

ps: Meanwhile, I will have to try Addtoany (which has localisation).

Same here. It just simply does not pop up. It also generates js errors. I have attached a screenshot of the error console.

Thanks, Derek
