Hi,
Im busy writing a module to extend the node module. Its all done and working (Roughly) only problem is I have to have access to administor nodes to be able to view the full node. The teaser is fine, just the full node. Have I missed something out in my code?
If anyone is intrested my module (pblog for power or photo blog) lets you attach a zip file with images when you write a new node, then puts the pics into a gallery making thumbnails and all that. Ive tried to make it really simple no database backend. Its also very dynamic, displays random picture on the teaser, even has a block with a random picture. If anyone is intrested let me know and Ill send you a copy, I dont have a cvs account yet, hint hint...

hook_access
Sounds like you forgot to implement hook_access. See the doxygen page.
pblog module node on drupal.org is broken
Hi baldy,
This node doesn't have a download link:
http://drupal.org/node/6253
If it did, I (and a log of other people it seems) would be downloading this module.

From the original date last year, I suspect that it was for Drupal 4.3 or 4.4. I did a quick look through CVS and the CVS attic and didn't find it... So I suspect that it was never uploaded or it has been depreciated.

maybe but..
I googled a bit and found this guy's site and he had a .zip of the module
http://www.baldy.za.net/?q=taxonomy/page/or/15
...but it didn't include a README or INSTALL or anything but the .module file and after poking through it a bit, it didn't work as expected, either.

If you are adventurous and
If you are adventurous and can figure out what version the module is designed to work with, then update it. http://drupal.org/node/13223
Although looking at the todo list for the upcoming image module may give you some idea's as well.

Not usually so adventurous but...
This module seems to be working well under 4.3.2.
It has a RCS/CVS stamp of March 13, 2004 and 4.3.2 came out Jan 1, 2004 and the next version didn't come out until well into April. So maybe this is a safe bet.
It does not, however, seem to handle upload of .zip files, but I haven't investigated that yet. The random pic module, upload, edit (delete), etc work (under that old version) and I'll let you know when I find out more.
by the way, what's wrong with the node where you *should be* able to dwonload this from?
Thanks for the direction, stay tuned.

hint hint?
Why do you have to "hint" anyone? Just apply for a cvs account if thats what you need.
