This is strange, and since this user was created by someone else, I don't know how to reproduce the issue.

The "Create profile" link appears on the user's page even though their profile is created. However, when I try to use views or list all content of type profile, this specific user's profile does not show up. Clicking "create profile" link takes me to the edit page where all the info is already filled out. Deleting or changing the profile info does not change anything. I even attempted to drop the DB tables and recreate the profile and this problem persisted!

I told you... strange.

Any thoughts on helping me troubleshoot?

I abandoned troubleshooting the "why", and here's a hacky solution which surprisingly to me - worked!

As admin, I tried to add content > Profile.
I filled it out and then for author, I typed in the oddly-behaving-user's name.

presto!

strange, though.
