$5 Tell me why Ubercart modules are breaking the Newswire theme upon activation?

$5 Paypal bounty whoever can tell me why when I activate namely the ubercart Order module, the Newswire suckerfish menu disappears as well as the borders around my blocks. And when I get to the optional Shipping Report module it basically strips the css altogether so the layout is gone.

I have done nothing more than activate the modules. I turned them off one at a time to figure out which ones were doing it. I had heard that for the admin of ubercart you should use a two column theme, but I can find no reason for this to happen, and no one is answering at at the ubercart forum.

Will I be forced to go with a core theme?

I guess the rules of the forum want you to reply directly to me, however if there is an answer that can be posted here it would perhaps help others with the same problem (as when I posted a small bounty like this before.) Researching this will take me hours of frustration while others may have the answer in minutes. Short of another viable option I see no way of getting fast help for small issues than this forum.
