On D.O. there is a plethora of messy and old issue queues. In many cases, an issue gets marked 'postponed (maintainer needs more info)' but, more info is never supplied. The issue stalls out and nothing ever happens.
I would like to propose that an issue with 'postponed (maintainer needs more info)' status is automatically marked as 'won't fix' after 2 months of no activity.... just like how a fixed 'issue' is marked as 'closed' after 2 weeks of no activity.
This will help keep the issues queues cleaner and more manageable.
Abandoned issues will get removed from the 'active' list.
Issue creators/supporters will be forced to provide more/better supporting information to the maintainer to keep it alive.
What do you think?
