I've noticed on many sites and forums, high-level members are often rewarded for their contributions by some very nice, animated flash badges. I've created several flash versions of the stationary badge images I use on my site, but have never been able to use them with the User Badges module. Is Flash support even possible with this module? Any chance of ever seeing it added?
Either way, love this module--been using it for a couple of years now. It just keeps getting better. :) Keep up the good work.

I must confess I don't personally have any plans to implement Flash badges, but it is a thought.
How would it work exactly? Would the flash badge simply have embed code instead of the image support it has now? That would also allow support for any other type of badge.
However, it wouldn't allow support for the automated linking patterns that the module currently has.

Sorry for the delay in responding.
I can see what you mean about the embed code changing things up a bit and not having the same versatile functionality as the image support. I honestly have no idea how it would work, as it seems you either embed directly, or link to an html file with with embed code. If there is another, more malleable way to display Flash, I'm not familiar with it, but it would be quite nice if there were.
But thanks for the response anyway. If you ever decide to try to add Flash support, that will be excellent, but User Badges is pretty nice either way. :)

Thanks. I appreciate your understanding. I think, for the foreseeable future, that Flash badges is beyond the scope of this module. I'm going to mark it as "won't fix", but who knows.. some day....?
