Ok, so new site development starting shortly. I'm taking a little time to re-review the available options for doing node-level access control (by role). Setup is expected to include a public-facing side, a members-only area and some even-more private area for the developers. I'd like to hear people's opinions on these, and if there's anything worth looking at I might have missed.
ACL + Content Access + Forum Access - This is what's currently installed after having tried a few other packages and I'm mostly satisfied with it though it could be easier to manage.
Node Access (not to be confused with nodeaccess or Node Access Control) - This is new to me. How does it compare to Content Access?
Node Access Control - Still no Drupal 6 port, presumed dead. The only reason I bring it up is because it touts the most complete integration with the existing Drupal permissions page, which would be darn nice.
On a side note, I'll probably be setting up openID for this - can anyone point to a guide for someone who hasn't worked with OpenID before?
