I meant (but didn't do it) a select under certain threshold and a textfield if the count excedes the threshold
BUT, NancyDru persuaded me to #623754: use select instead of textfield for hostname filter
the reason to open this issue is just to keep in mind to re-check I don't leave non-sense code once that issue get solved.
