CCK Manage field

Issue Summary

I am trying to create a reservation calendar. I have tried a few different approaches. One approach is the views, calendar, CCK approach. I created my "event" but I want to remove some of the standard fields, like "book" and "path". Is there any way to do that? I also want to stop to end users from checking out the same resource at the same time. Which doesn't seem possible.

Because of that, I installed MERCI. The problem with MERCI is, I want the calendar to be resource specific, and I can't seem to filter MERCI on the reserved item. I have done some searches but haven't seemed to find an answer. Any help would be much appreciated.
