I allow anonymous comments, but I nevertheless would like to 'force' my visitors to put in something else as the default 'Anonymous'. Is it possible to remove that word and offer the visitors just an empty box?

How about changing the word Anonymous to something else? You can do that at Site configuration > Site Information

of this is that it has to be presented as empty so that they are forced to put something in which can be anything but Anonymous.
