Hey I reciently heard about mailchimp it seems very good. I installed the module...

I havent yet set up campains... because to be honest it may be over kill for me then again it might not...

All I want is news subscirption box where users type in there email address... Any news I have published that week on my news content is sent out every week and if no new news nothing sent.

With simple news this seemed possible but I could not have a simple box where they type there email address if they wasnt a user... or if they wanted to use a different email address they could not type it in...

Basically am wondering if I can set it up so mailchimp automatically takes my new news posts on the site puts it in a template and sends it at the end of the week so am not publishing the same news on there and having to mess around... As so far I like the look of mailchimp but all I really want is simple newsletter as at this point in time there will only be a handful of subscibers at most.

Simplenews will allow anonymous users to subscribe if you set the permissions for it. So, users could subscribe with different emails.
Simplenews digest will send out an automatic email with "new on the site" email to subscribers at a frequency you choose.

Sounds like Simplenews will do what you need.

yeah but thats no good to me... I want it to be like that for all users... type there email in and get the news letter... and plus I found a way with mailchimp to do this automatically on the rss feed which makes life a lot easier :) http://www.mailchimp.com/features/power_features/rss/

I installed the mailchimp module for making the subscription, the viewer of my site just enroll their mail id's. They will get a mail whenever my events or news updated. For need that how to configure the mailchimp module. I created an account in mailchimp site and also create the list, it shows in my site mailchimp configuration. But it doesn't send a mail. There is any idea for working with mailchimp????
