Issue Summary
I installed the mp3-player as shown in the video-tutorial, everything seems fine, upload works, player appears - but the file does not play. It's an endless buffering. Any idea what's wrong?

Same problem here. But only when using the mp3player formatter in views.
in full node I get Player reports "File Not Found"
any chance to have some info on how to address both issues?
my bad (again): I did enable "Encode: YES" but did not save config.
With encoding enabled everything works, for me.
thanks!

I am having the same issue. The player appears and starts buffering, but that where it ends. I have enabled the encode setting in the mp3 Player module setting as well. Not sure where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated.

I have recently had the same problem (endless buffering). Settings that I found should be working :
1. Uploaded mp3 needs to be 44100 Hz (I had an 48000 Hz and I had endless buffering)
2. "Encode Audio File URLs: NO" in both Global and Player settings. If you have "yes" in Global settings and the opposite in the Player settings you get file not found error. Encode URL set to YES only works with clean urls disabled (as I have read going through other posts).
3. In my case version 6.x-1.0-beta1 works with the most recent version (2.0.4.1) of Wordpress Audio Player, didn't do any changes to the js code.

Any idea how to handle with this issue with clean URLs enabled?

Had the same problem here and it turned out to be my browser+my OS
using chrome, firefox or opera in debian I get endless buffering
using chrome in XP it works fine
My guess is it has somethign to do with the flashnonfree package in linux..
