Running Drupal 6 - on Apache.

When I run cron, it fails. The Status Report looks good (except it suggests loading the libraries for upload progress), and
I can't find what is causing cron to fail. Can someone please tell me how I can determine what is causing cron to fail? Please
keep in mind I'm a "noob", so please answer in simple 'layman' terms (that of a 4 yr old will work - ha-ha). I've searched
the forums and haven't found a post that answers - "how to tell what is causing cron to fail." - THANK YOU MUCH (in advance).

Seeing as you asked to be blamed, I'll tell you what's wrong with this question.
You don't say what's wrong.
You haven't described what makes you think that cron is failing. You haven't identified any error.
If the status report is "good" then it's saying cron is OK.
You don't say if you've tried actually configuring cron according to the instructions, if you've done it on your webhost (as is required) or if you are using poormanscron - which you should use if your web host does not support this.

You haven't said what you've tried already, or what 'fail' means to you.
You don't describe what happens when you run cron manually (as linked in the status report)

Without basic information like that, there is no answer that can be given, and it's just an invitation to a game of 20 questions.

(If you think this reply is blunt, believe me, I can be ruder, but I'm trying to help you to help others to help yourself)

Moving over here from the ditching Drupal thread...

I'll try to help, too, but dman already asked the important questions. If you can give us an answer to those, that will help a lot.
