I have seen that many sites uses very fancy 3D-looking widgets, like this select widget (http://ifarfar.mine.nu/3d-select.gif). I just don’t understand how to enable this widget style. Is it a theme, a module or what?

This looks and behaves brilliantly, but it only works with terms from a vocabulary ... not nodes.

Is this the kind of thing you're looking for?

Edit: sorry, it obviously isn't.

No that's not it, even if Comulus looks like a nice Project.

What I would like to understand is how to theme a select so it looks like this (http://ifarfar.mine.nu/3d-select.gif).

That's simply the way the browser renders the widget on that platform-- that looks like a mac rendering.

I feel so stupid, but you are right it looks like Mac OS X. Haven't seen a MAC since the university and at that time they didn't have color monitors.
