Image Assist is working to the point of showing me the images I have uploaded. I'm trying to place a photo in a page. When I click insert, a string of code appears in the text of the page [img_assist|nid=13|title=Yellow Yard Sign|desc=|link=node|align=left|width=75|height=100]
...but no photo.

I also get the error message "Make sure you have a working image toolkit installed and enabled, for more information see: the settings page" I was not able to find anything in settings that helped.

I'm a newbie and I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere, but I have spent quite a bit of time reading posts and documentation for the modules. I'm the admin of our site, so I have all modules enabled and permissions etc. I'm stumped.

Thank you.

I had this problem yesterday. Try using the html insertion instead, and make sure you go to the next line before adding more text. I'm at work now, so I can't take a look at my installation of 4.7 at home until later to be sure, but that SHOULD do it.

Do you mean that you did not see the image the code generates after you do a preview? If so, you need to make sure that the inline images filter is enabled under Administer >> input formats. In you default input format, you might need to enable it and maybe even change the order of your filters, depending on what you have enabled.

Thanks MichaelG and Grohk. I followed both of your suggestions and am now able to post the graphics.

I really appreciate your quick replies.

I have used img_assist to insert filter code (not html) into nodes. The thumbails appear in the nodes while I am logged in as admin. When I log out, the thumbnails no longer appear.

I tried rearranging the inline image filter in the input filter ordering for each role. No effect.

Not sure these are relevant. I have the "access all images" access control for img_assist enabled for all roles. "view original images" access control for images enabled for all users. Are these relevant?

image and img_assist settings do not seem relevant.

Images linked directly with HTML work well, but I'd rather use the inline image filter.

Is there some other access control I need to enable? some other setting?

Are you giving the filter code it's own line, meaning nothing before or after it? Another possibility would be to see if there is a difference in the input formats by role, or who can access different types of content.

Mike, thank you for your response. Yes, the filters are on their own line. I have just been trying to resolve this issue just now and I think its a different problem than what is being discussed in this thread. I have take up the issue here: http://drupal.org/node/66803
