Installs complete in 6.14 but no admin access after default splashscreen

Everything went Ok till the 5 steps starting screen.

No access to ?q=admin service to start configuration.

French package deployed, and trying install in french (english buit in same result).

Running on php 5.2.6 on Apache 2.0 server on Windows XP.

Strucked for 2 hours without finding a way to pass through...

..exactly was the error message? Pretty sure it wasn't "No access to ?q=admin service to start configuration."

..have probably used the wrong username/password ie a spelling mistake!
