Can't enable module comment_bonus_api

Description
After installing the dev version, I got a message to download the module comment_bonus_api, I did, then I couldn't enable the module, it was disabled even after clearing the Drupal cache.
then I installed the non-Dev version 6.x-1.8 and was able to enable the module.
So one of the changes in the dev update broke the integration.
