Description

It would be nice to be able to take any menu item and assign a new path as an override. The normal path could be a default.

Use case: If you have a lot of terms in a clever hierarchy, and quickly want to make that huge multilevel menu, but don't really want to use any of the standard node listings by term.

Like an alias? Have you tried pathauto?

Please elaborate.

I'm not thinking about an alias.

1) I would like to be able to take any of the menu items generated by the module, and make it link to something else (i.e. work as a normal menu item where I can change the path). Then, if I have a deep hierarchy of terms, I can use the generated menu, but still have the option to make some menu items on the middle level (with children) linking to landing pages if needed.

2) On a related note: It would be nice if we could use the module just for quickly creating menus out of the different vocabularies, and then just let go of the connection between taxonomy and the menu. If you do that now, the menu will be deleted. That makes sense from a sync perspective, but not when using it primarily as a menu creation tool (super handy for creating big sites: import taxonomy hierarchy from csv, and use this module to make menus).
