the module works so that when a user is added or removed from Drupal, it gets added or removed from PHPlist.
Is there a way to add or remove a user from a list based on whether he is part of a role or not?
The role section in the settings seems to only define what lists are available, but not to handle the subscription and unsubscription to it.

Hi,

This functionality is now in place! Please grab the D6-DEV version which will appear later tonight. You can now assign any combination of lists and roles, with any list being an "auto-subscribe" list, meaning that users' subscriptions will can automatically follow their roles when being updated or synced.
