Can't find "book room" button and room search block always returns 0 results

Have you made rooms available?

Besides creating room type nodes, you have to edit the calendars on their node view page to make rooms of that type available.

The room type content creation form lets you specify some default values to make that quicker work (if the defaults are acceptable, just click the edit link for a calendar and the submit button on the resulting page) but until you explicitly make dates available for a room type on its calendar, they won't show up in search results are can't be booked.

I admit that the concept of "availability default value, but you must edit the month to make it a default" is strange to me.
Why not really make the default a default ?
I understand that in the current way the management over your availability is stronger, but it confuses.
I think giving different limitations, such as limit the dates for the coming X months|years, for example, will be a better solution that the current one.

No, because you won't necessarily have the default number available for every date.

A way to manually edit those as needed is important.

Perhaps what is needed is some additional help text to clarify that the default number will only pre-populate the availability forms (as a time saving feature), not activate that number of rooms for every month.
