Funny how reading the instructions helps.

REALLY delete everything first. I tried to be crafty and only delete stuff in the new package, but that doen't work.

Also, It is VITALLY Important to upgrade modules. I forgot to do the Google Sitemap and i got the initial new-drupal installation message until I fixed it. I'm sure other 4.6 modules on 4.7 will cause the same type of error. If there isn't a module for 4.7, read the CVS about 4.7 as much has been integrated into the core.

I'm still having problems with the audio.module not displaying the play button.. I'm sure it's something simple I've missed. I'll try and put my fix here when I find it.

Also, I have been using a custom theme which created problems after the upgrade. DOUBLE CHECK THE TPL files of your custom theme. If you haven't changed them, you *should* be able to replace them from your base theme (or another that is reasonably similar). I lost my titles on the main page due to some changes in the theme engine.

I'm not as big a Drupal-head as I'd like to be, and certainly don't have much php or css experience, so for others out there like me, maybe this will steer you in the right direction.

VCSB.com is now at 4.7 from 4.64 (minus flash audio player in posts). Take a look to see this theme in progress.

Love Always.

That's what your test site is for. You can take your time and document all the things you have to do, and make sure it all works before trying on your production site :)

I fiigured out my problem with the Audio.module. It ended up being a corrupt table (which I was thinking of manually fixing, but I needed to change some of the audio anyway, so I'll be uploading new or replacement tracks).
Backing up saved my [site's] life. The test site saved my mind.
Overall, the errors I encountered were due to me moving to fast and overlooking the small stuff.
