Issue Summary
Group admins can delete comments within their groups, but they can't edit comments. This is possible?
Comments
#1
Theoretically this is possible. I think this is worth exploring.
#2
I've committed a dev release that allows group admins to edit comments. This is disabled by default but can be enabled by going to /admin/og/comment_og.
The only snag is that when the user actually edits the comment, their name appears on the comment rather than the original author. This seems like the most honest functionality, but not necessarily the most intuitive. Anyone have a better alternative, or does this work okay for people?
#3
Maybe, you could just add a message saying: "This post has been modified by XXX". That would seem more correct to me: it is actually user YYY's post not XXX's.
#4
I just added a feature that allows for configurable "edited by" messages when an group administrator edits a comment. Check it out and let me know what you think.
