I have tried the 6.x-2.0 and latest dev version but am unable to make the Unanswered block visible.
I have activated it on the admin/build/block page but nothing shows on the sidebar.
I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong or if this is a bug.

I can confirm the user settings as expert are correct as they can see the question and edit it if they know the node number and use a path like http://example.com/node/xxx even though it is not published.

Any help on getting the UNanswered block visible would be appreciated.

I have answered my own question. The unanswered block is visible.
When configuring the module it is important to select the roles, save and then select the individuals and save again.

The title of the unanswered block is not visible by default and needs some text entered for a title to appear.
