Hoping someone can help me. Chances are I'm doing the wrong thing or have just totally mis-understood the security alert warning.
My question is in relation to the Adisory alert below:
* Advisory ID: DRUPAL-SA-CONTRIB-2009-096
* Project: Link (third-party module)
I checked my Drupal installation and we are running the CCK Link module 5.x-2.1, am I correct in assuming that the Advisory Alert is talking about this module? or is there another Link module?
I did all the steps required to do an update to a module:
1. Backup databases
2. Disable the Link module (it seems to be tied in to the CCK Content module)
3. Backup original folder (sites/all/modules)
4. Did a un-tar of the update (link-5.x-2.6.tar) and copied contents into the "sites/all/modules/link" folder
5. Ran update.php
I didn't get an errors but it has not changed the version number, I had done a patch on the forward module a month ago and it all worked nicely, I'm unsure if this has worked at all?
any help, advise would be greatly appreciated.
