Description

Hi all,

I have been following a video tutorial (no, i am not a drupal expert) on learnbythedrop to make a simple image gallery, and then publish a mediarss feed. The method seems to be fairly common and I have followed the guide to a T. I have run into a problem with not being able to get a working media feed and have spent all day trying to resolve the problem. Here is a brief explanation of my situation.

A fresh install of acquia drupal core 6.14
All my modules are up to date versions
Created a custom content type (called 'photo') using CCK and Imagefield, ImageCache
Set up a view that shows just my 'photo' nodes.
Created a page display on the view that works just fine.
Created a normal rss feed display on the view that works fine.

My problem appears when I try to turn the normal rss feed into a mediarss feed. I change the row style to "media rss", and then the option settings appear, but they do not look right to me (image attached to this post). When I hit update (regardless of my option choices), the update hangs and never completes. Thus, I am never able to get a media feed.

I have gone through this process multiple times, reinstalled all of these related modules, disabled, re-enabled everything. My thought was that some modules were conflicting, but my enabled modules are pretty minimal and i havent discovered any conflicts. Hours of scouring the net hasn't turned up much either.

This may not be a mediarss problem but I thought it would be a good place to start.

Anyone have any insight? Or is this the wrong place to ask this type of thing?

It is the right place to post this as the settings do appear wrong. You should also post this where u got the video from, if u haven't already as they have already used the same set of modules as you.

I haven't got the time to look into this in more detail at the moment but the row settings should look similar to the screen capture attached. The capture uses the image module and not the imagefield and cache module but it should look basically the same.

Good luck in your search for an answer!
