I am using Drupal 4.7.0, I like to have a worldmap, that shows the locations
of registered members, based on the Latitude and Longitude profile fields.

example here: http://xaraya.org/worldmap/

can you help me how to implement such a user mapping
feature in drupal?

thanks,

Enky.

You could certainly create a url based on some user fields, just to get started.
The people in 'Module development' might be more knowledgable.

I was thinking about doing this with googles map API. If you get something finished, I would like to see it.

Charley

I believe the GMap module would meet the original poster's needs, and you might find interesting as well:

Zach Rosen recently posted a cool video tutorial showing how to do someting similar. It can be viewed at:

I highly recommend it as a starting point.

If someone has sucseeded, can you please tell me how?

doesn't it need the location module, which I was wondering whether it's compatible yet with drupal 4.7. Last I checked it needed the formsAPI updated. Do you have the location module working in 4.7?
