Hi,
I have just previously migrated from dragonfly (formerly nuke-based) to Drupal. While Drupal does nearly everything better, I am still spoiled by a fantastic pnflashgames module we had "over there". This arcade module does everything right but is imho missing one thing tat keeps the site visitors coming back: An overall leaderboard.
The mechanism was rather easy for the leaderboard: For each game you got a certain amount of points for holding a top 1 to 5 (or ten or 20..) score. This amount of points increased and decreased dynamically based on the popularity of that particular game. So the better your score was in a very popular game, the more prestige and points you got from being good at it.
The sum of all points you gathered from the individual games this way all went into an overall leaderboard on a separate page. I have attached an image on what this leaderboard looked like on my old site.
You cannot imagine how eager the site member where watching this page, trying to get up the ladder!
A few more suggestions (didn't want a new issue for each suggestion - or should I?)
1. Adjustable screen size
Would be great to allow the setting of width and height of the flash games. Especially on bigger screens the actual games are very small.
2. Support for ibpro
Already requested - but wanted to emphasize again since there are many good games for that system while pnflashgames pretty much dried out a few years ago already.
3. Activity/Heartbeat/Views Support
Would be great if Arcade integrated e.g. with activity module so that other people would get notified easily as soon as player x or player y just reached a new high score on game z - it is all about motivation for the site visitors :)
I know that updating such a module is a huge task and free time is little - I am very grateful that arcade does exist the way it is already! Additionally I simply cannot afford to pay for such changes on my own. But I would definitely chip in if we could get some supporters that are willing to help the continuation of a wonderful module with so much potential. In fact I was surprised that relatively few people seem to use this module which in my opinion can be a killer app for certain sites. Keep up the good work!

matt2000 commentedWith a little PHP, you could accomplish the desired feature with userpoints module. I think this sort of meta-scoring is outside the scope of this module, although I would accept a patch for a sufficiently generic userpoints integration.

matt2000 commentedAlso, I have absolutely zero experience with Activity module, so I won't be undertaking that integration either.
