Creating Activity Views

I've been unable to find how to create a view of activities. I'd like to create one that contains both the current viewed user's activities and their friends, and had heard it can be done, but am at a loss as to how to do it.

Ok upgraded to the devel version and I see the default view.
I've looked and tried a few things, but can't seem to figure it out.
I'm using User Relationships.
And I need a view that shows both the current users activity, argument gotten from the url. This works fine.
But I also want the same view to show friends activity, and activity of people the current user is a fan of.
Any pointers in the right direction? I've already added the User Relationship relationships to the view.
