option_definition works on the initialisation of the plugin, which is a lot nicer.

merlinofchaos commentedI committed this; it needed a minor adjustment in order to get the defaults actually working, but I think this is about right.
Note that this does not address argument default or validation plugins, which will be more difficult because they do not get their own screens right now.
