I write this in order to save time for people that wants upgrade from d5 to d6.
1. There isn't an automatic procedure, you must modify database table manually.
2. You can't adjust permissions, so authenticated users can use disknode seeing all your files.
3. You can't configure disknode because you receive a php function error.
4. You can't upload a file of great size via ftp and then select it with disknode, because you receive an error saying that the file is not in the database and the upload must be done with drupal.
This is only to summerize the state of things.
So, don't install into your production site like me!

Ectar commentedTotally agree... I personally cannot find enough time to fix that :(
I put it for download only for people who are crazy enough and can fix it themselves :)

drein commentedThe problem is that I must find a method to convert attachemtns stored by disknode to the sql table used by drupal when it uses normal attachments.
and this is not quite simple, because I never build a query for me and I should start studying mysql.
I'm thinking to go to Canada, where there is the user that makes the porting from drupal 4.7 to d6, I 'll go to his home and I'll ask for some helps regard this issues! :-)))))))))))))

Ectar commentedYa, come over. We will drink some beer and may be will fix everything :)
Seriously, I'm planing to check those issues soon, because one of my sites is still 5, and due to upgrade like year ago, didn't upgrade it just becasue Discknode was not working.
