Make Live work with Nodecomment

I am using Nodecomment with the "comment" form on the same page as the topic rather than on a separate page. Live chokes on it, probably because Live is used to nodes being created in the traditional manner and not tacked onto a page like comments.

I have no idea how to make them play nice together. I realize this is a huge feature request, but thought I'd take a shot. :)
