1) All files are in place under the modules directory:

ajax_newsflash # ls

ajax_newsflash.info ajax_newsflash.settings.inc CHANGELOG.TXT README.TXT

2) Module is enabled.
3) Administer / Site configuration / Ajax Newsflash

- Show more link enabled
- Number of news flash items set to 1
- Content type set to "newsflash"

4) Administer / Site building / Blocks

- Ajax New Flash put into Header
- Block Title Set
- Users cannot control
- Set pages to and 'news' for testing

5) Created new content type "newsflash" with one simple text field in addition to standard title field. Created a test entry.
6) Does not work...

Works almost fine for me. If you aren't seeing it show up at all, double check to make sure you have your page display set up properly. Try just showing on the front page. Second, I don't think it will look at any specific fields that you have created, put your newsflash text in the BODY of the content.

I don't see it at all. But I'm using the 5.15 version. Block shows up, "more link" takes to a list page where all newsflash content is listed. But no actual display of content in the block.
