How is this different to Devel Generate? Is it more of a "mass uploader" rather than a "random content generator"?

rokrYou can mass create nodes with given content, not random data. Very useful IMHO.

nicholasthompsonSo its like Node Import then?

gregglesThis project should either document (on the project page) what makes it different from existing solutions or merge with those solutions.

tahiticlic commentedHi there,
well I've been looking for such a functionnality (using the search form here with various terms) of initializing contents in order to produce a site skeleton. I was sure that something like this exists, I've forgot that Devel quite does the trick.
But this is a bit different since you can have real content and you can choose the menu to put nodes in (it's dedicated to my use on the first aim, and I needed it).
Even if it's a lot more simple than Node Import, the right way is perhaps to integrate the menu thing in Node Import. Didn't think of that way...

gregglesWhere does the real content come from?

ctalley5 commentedLOVE IT!!! Been looking for something like this for a while.
You create the content... it's not a mass importer. It's not "random" content... but it creates a mass amount of skeleton content that you can revisit later on and update.
Thanks for the module!

tahiticlic commentedThat's it : a very simple mix between fake content (Devel Generate) and content import (Node Import).
I guess it's a developer need; in my case, the client needs to have a full prepared structure, except for nodes content which they will fill by themselves later.

As If commentedThis module is necessary for allowing flexible development methodologies under Drupal 6, due to this, which is due to this. I wish it weren't, frankly, but thank you!

asb commentedSome kind of documentation would be nice, e.g. if this is a tool for site administrators, or just for developers. Especially it'd be nice to see the UI, if the module even has one.
Thanks!
