Hello,

After some reflexions with the members of the French team groups, we have some features requests to optimize our work on localize.

Sorry if some features have already been requested.

- we would like to have much roles to give different levels of permissions to our administrators. For instance, we'd need to associate 'local admin role' with specific modules. The idea is to give to volunteers the possibility to maintain the modules translations of their choice, like the modules contribute system.

- Could we have a ‘state of translation’ tag, like ‘official translation’ and ‘translation in progress’ (or ‘not validated’), for example. For this last case, it will be necessary to give to users some advertisements on the approximated or unfinished state of translation, and the use of it at « their own risk ». It would permit to users to import the work of the contributors even if they have not been validated by finals admins.

- It would be nice if we could « lock » the suggestions for a string or a module which have been definitely translated (the new suggestions will be ignored). Maybe it could be based on the same mechanism than the translation state (taxonomy ?).

Some bugs we have met :

- Someone in our group, with the admin permissions, has imported ‘simplenews digest’ in localize and has never seen his suggestions. They seem lost…

ThanX for all this work !

loR, for the French team

Another question : a french guy is working on Web File Manager. He has exported the .po on localize and saw that the last version (6.11) was empty. What's happened ? How are synchronized .po and new versions modules ?

Thanx for the answer.

loR

If you kindly add more requests to one issue, it nicely decreases your chance to get answers. Drupal.org runs with a one issue per problem mantra. If we go on tangets with all these issues, we never get to see the answers. Since you did not even add letters or numbering to your questions, it is even harder to follow up on here. Not good for collaboration. Going to be quick, so you know where to follow up:

1. open an l10n_server issue about it
2. and 3. issue already open at #251327: Flag translation as 'golden' vs 'need work' and waiting for help to realize it
4. need more info, open a new issue
5. happens, please open a new issue
