Dear all,

here a problem that I might share with others. I keep my publications in bib files (books.bib, journals.bib, conference.bib, etc) and recently I wrote my own scripts to put together the web page, see here

http://kom.aau.dk/~ff/index.php?section=4

Changing to Drupal I found the biblio module, but I have problems. After the first upload of the bibs, I have problems to avoid duplicates. So is there a way to handle this. Can I tell the module to take out only the new ones? I read some stuff in the documentation, but did not work for me so far.

Furthermore would it be possible to have a symbol or link where people can download the actual pdf (as in my original web page)?

So if someone has the same problem or already a solution I would be happy to hear about it.

Synchronizing is an ongoing issue which is not resolved yet. There are many issues surrounding this seemingly simple task. Not the least of which is determining if a entry which was changed in the .bib file is a new entry or a modification of an old one. Now if you have citekeys on all your entries it simplifies it somewhat, but not all entries have them.

As for your pdf attachments, you can use the "upload" module for this purpose.

Cheers,

Ron.
