Hi,

as one of the Origo developers I'm wondering if we can merge what you did and the existing stuff we did into one module. *imho* it would make much more sense if we can have one module instead of two modules that each would have to support individually.

Regards,
Patrick

@tario: No response from the module's maintainer for over a year, so this module obviously is abandoned. Closing as "wont't fix".

@TimelessDomain (#2): mediawiki_filter has no release on drupal.org, that's what this issue (and numerous other postings like #554150: Status of mediawiki_filter) are about.

You can chek out the module for D6 via SVN: https://svn.origo.ethz.ch/origo/web/trunk/drupal/sites/all/modules/media.... I have running this on a couple of sites, and it works quite well, much better than the de facto abandoned PEAR Wiki Filter. However, I don't know if a port of mediawiki_filter to D7 is planned.

Also, there was a feature about Origo which contains some more information about mediawiki_filter.

Greetings, -asb

There is a sandbox project for mediawiki_filter at d.o since june 2011. So far it has been refused to be promoted to full project status because it embeds GPL'd MediaWiki code ("you should not include external libraries with your module", comment in the application queue).

I don't know how to deal with this absurd blockade (it totally denies what the GNU GPL is about), so it seems that mediawiki_filter has no future on d.o. Reopening since we need a solution for D7, and 'MediaWiki API' appears to be the only potential alternative.

asb,

if you would like to work on 6.x branch or 7.x as a co-maintainer, I happily add you. Contact me, if you are interested.

Sorry, since I wasn't able to make this module do anything, I'm afraid I can't offer much help :-(
