We need to agree among ourselves and provide a reasonable expectation to users about the stability, contents, backups, and the like about staging*.drupal.org sites.

Per our conversation this evening, here are some current statements:

  • All content and configuration on staging* is transient. We do not have to defend it or worry about it. A new load from d.o. is OK at any time with no worries.
  • It's OK to svn up the current branch onto these sites.
