hello
i need help changing the background color of block headers for garland theme (drupal 6.4), i am new to css , please tell me which section to edit

The garland theme is notoriously difficult to change-- it will be even more so for someone not familiar with css. If you can't get the colors you want via the color options in the UI, I recommend choosing an alternate theme to modify.

You can change the background color of block headers for garland theme .
Just change the CSS files.
