I have a front page comprised of several panes, one of which lists recent forum posts on the site. The problem I have is that it lists all forums, even those that should be for group members only (forums created for group usage).

How do I set permissions for a pane to only display material appropriate for the user's credentials?

That would be up to the pane itself. For modules that go in and add new permissions, they generally have to do extra work to ensure these permissions are available.

I'm confused. When I asked how to correct this in the Panels issue queue, you said it was an OG Forums issue and repeated that in the Views queue, but when I try to get some info here where you directed me, you steer me back to the problem being with the pane itself. What am I missing?

You marked this as "won't fix". Does that mean you won't fix it or that it can't be fixed?. You look to be very busy, so I'm simply looking for a point in the right direction about how to get permissions working for an OG forum listing in a pane.
