I am looking for someone with experience installing and configuring Ubercart for D6 (meaning UC 2.x). We need to sell recurring site membership subscriptions and offer discounts using promo codes as well. From what I can tell, UC 2.x isn't going to be able to do this but I need to know if I am wrong and how much it will cost to have someone get it done VERY quickly.

We need the following workflow (or something similar) to occur.

1. anonymous user clicks on the "join now" button and is taken to the shopping cart page that shows membership/services options.
2. anonymous user selects site membership to purchase
3. anonymous user completes the necessary account creation information and some profile fields
4. anonymous user inserts discount promo code (if available)
5. anonymous user completes the necessary credit card information and submits
6. the payment is processed (no leaving the site like with PayPal)
7. if payment is completed, the user account is created and role is set to 'member'
8. user is automatically logged in and redirected to a specified page up
9. user receives a thank you / receipt email
10. site admin receives email notice that an account has been purchased
11. if payment is not completed, the user is sent to a screen explaining the problem and given the applicable opportunity to retry (depending on the issue).

Note, "member" is the role with full rights on the site. There will be opportunities in the future to buy other roles on the site so simply setting the user to authenticated isn't going to work because everyone gets the authenticated role simply by creating an account. The other roles have unique (fewer) permissions so if someone chooses to buy a lesser role, the process needs to set the role for that user to the applicable role.

We need it done and tested by Nov 19th, 2009. This is obviously a fast turn around. The site is a fee-based community membership site. It is currently running the LM_PayPal module combined with LoginToboggan but this is not enough.

Please submit your bids (WITH references) using my contact form. If you want to bid a partial solution, please be sure to say which step above is being excluded.

Thank you
Cindy

We are still discussing options. I have had a couple folks express interest in helping and they all look good. Feel free to submit your interest and/or recommendations. I hope we can make a decision soon.
thanks

Hi, Cindy.

I need to implement a member management system like this in January.

Let's talk, if what you're building can be shared back with the community. I'm getting handy with Features, so we could collaborate on making this a Membership Management Feature.

Schedule to launch on feb 5th.

I need everything you are talking about. I am fairly new would like a step by step on how to create a membership. I have three levels.
1. Free -open to all
2. Members only -- we will have forums, podcasts, and such. Would like them to register then pay for it before role is activated. Needs to be re-occurring with email notification. One set up for monthly and the same role except yearly.

3. Has all membership capabilities and can sign up for courses.

Thanks for any assistance

I just posted my notes on some stuff I'd done to our ecommerce site here: http://www.ubercart.org/forum/support/15347/drupal_ecommerce_ubercart_my...

Among that is how I set up Ubercart to sell memberships. These aren't *recurring* memberships - people actually have to repurchase when their time is up. But they do get an email a week in advance telling 'em to do so.

As for actually restricting access to content, assign a role (or roles) to whomever needs special access. We use a custom access control solution, but a lot of people seem to use things like this with success: http://drupal.org/project/taxonomy_access

Hope that helps.
