when i open the youtube video in lightbox , it takes the node's title, is there a way to give that video a custom title by the editor?

Assuming you're talking about emfield videos here, the current release of lightbox2 does not actually set any caption for the videos. However the emfield module provides an identically named formatter which uses the node title. The next release of lightbox2 (within next week or so), will use any caption set when using the emthumb module and will then fallback to using the node title, which should give you what you want.
