Emfield + media Hulu + Node Import doesn't seem to work

Description
Hi -- I am using the very alpha version of Media:Hulu withEmfield and node import. Drupal version: 6.14 (6.x), PHP version: 5.2.8
I got Media Hulu to display if I use the media's URL, not the embed code. I can get Node import to do just about all I want. It's working with my Node reference fields and it's working with my Emfield links. Except for the Hulu ones.
If I have a YouTube, MetaCafe and Hulu videos in my node import-ed CSV, the Hulu videos error out.
It almost seems like Node Import is going through Emfield BEFORE it has a chance to use this Hulu add on.
I'm not a programmer, but I am willing to try out any suggestions or patches.
