I have attached an attempt to get the hosting module to work with the 4.7.0 API.
The link to 'hosting-applications' is still present but leads nowhere, I'm unclear as to
what the author's intentions were so I have left that as is.

It's prefered if this is done with a patch.
I also updated a couple of the t() calls to work more like their suppose to and made the module description make more sense(I never understood what this module did until today).

Looks good to me, thanks for helping out.

PS - This module could be great and pretty popular if someone put some love into it and linked it into some popular hosting packages. Maybe added the ability to be recurring payment.

Thanks for the quick response, the reason I didn't do a patch is because it's quite different, but I shall bear in mind your comments.

I'll be looking at it some more if I get the chance, I could use it for my own outfit
if I can find a good way to build a configurable options list, with prices attached and so on.
Any pointers at an existing model would be useful.

The module alone makes it hard for someone to look over the changes before applying them.
You might be able to do something with subproduct that would be to your liking.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have a look.

good, I'm looking forward to some tasty feed ;-)

To get the ball rolling:
There are now two updates, mine and the one from #64453

It would be good if someone could check them both out and decide which to use, if either, as the basis for continued work.

I have attached a patch on hosting.module,v 1.7 2006/05/31 04:53:03

He Friends,
What is the status of this?

darren oh’s picture

The E-Commerce developers can't maintain the contributed modules, and they can't give anyone else access to the contributed modules without giving them access to E-Commerce core. So at this point the only options are to move the module out of the E-Commerce repository or wait for the CVS maintainers to resolve the situation.
