Seems to be a bug. Only happens with creation of biblio content (not page, story etc.): the field "Authored by:" under "Authoring information" is blank for users other than user 1. Any ideas?

rjerome commentedI just tested it and it's not blank for me when I log in as a non-admin user who's role has "'administer nodes'" privilege.
Biblio is not doing anything which would remove content from that field, maybe it's a caching issue, you could try disabling caching. Do you have any other access control type modules involved?
bitsman commentedNo cache. The only "access control" is Organic Groups.
I've tested this with various browsers and also with someone login from a remote machine. Still happening ONLY with an user that has the "'administer nodes'" privilege. If the role is removed, it works fine.
BUT it is NOT replicated on another site sharing the same Drupal files on the same server (multisite install). This second site has ACL but not OG.
Could it be OG? I've removed the user from the (only) group but the field was still left blank.

rjerome commentedI don't want to point fingers, but I've seen stranger things happen with OG. Can you completely disable OG and test it?
BTW, what version of Drupal are you using? There was some strange behaviour by the input form which was introduced with 6.14. There was another issue today (http://drupal.org/node/632834) which, while not the same, is starting to seem like it may be 6.14 related.

bitsman commentedDisabled OG, problem still there.
I am using 6.14 and the issue you're pointing at seems related...
Thanks for your prompt response! We can wait now... My users are entering manually their username.
BTW, we have the same configuration on our server with the one from framestory at http://drupal.org/node/632834

Lanae commentedI am using Drupal 6.15 with no access control modules and I just noticed this happening, when I saw a bunch of 'Anonymous' Biblio nodes. Great - my users can barely post content, they're not gonna remember to put their name in. :(
I tried Biblio 1.9 a while back, but it broke my Views so I went back to 1.7. Sorry, I did not notice if I had this problem in 1.9 or not.
Best I can tell, this problem started when I upgraded to Biblio 1.7, and I just didn't notice it til now.

rjerome commentedI saw something similar to this recently, and hopefully, going to the "admin/content/node-settings" page and clicking "Rebuild Permissions" will resolve your problems (with versions later than 1.7).
I'll see if I can have the module due this automatically via the upgrade process.

Lanae commentedThank you for your response, Ron. Hopefully I can figure out what's going wrong with my biblio views so I can upgrade!
