When installing Comment Notify on my site (6.14), I got the following error message:
user warning: Field 'notified' doesn't have a default value query: INSERT INTO comment_notify (cid, notify, notify_hash) SELECT c.cid, 0, md5(concat(c.mail, ifnull(u.mail, u.init), c.uid, c.name, c.nid)) FROM comments c LEFT OUTER JOIN users u on c.uid = u.uid in E:\Apache\htdocs\mysite\sites\all\modules\comment_notify\comment_notify.install on line 20.
The module seemed to be enabled, but when I checked the notify-box and submitted a comment, I got:
user warning: Field 'notified' doesn't have a default value query: INSERT INTO comment_notify (cid, notify, notify_hash) values (10142, 0, '00c1ae1ac17d1fcb0cfac7da4c9322bd') in E:\Apache\htdocs\mysite\sites\all\modules\comment_notify\comment_notify.module on line 271.
Searching for these error messages didn't return any results, but finally I found that this has already been fixed in CVS HEAD. I just wanted to document that here, to make sure others can find this when they run into the same issue.

gregglesYes, I believe this is a postgresql error which has been fixed. Thanks for helping with the documentation.

marcvangendWell, the default value (
'default' => 0,on line 66 of the current HEAD version) was indeed part of a fix for postgresql, but in my case it solved a problem on a MySQL db. Wow, this almost reads as an advertisement for hook_schema :-)
